TikTok, which boasts 170 million American users, has begun restoring its services weeks after the app went offline. On Thursday, the app reappeared on the U.S. app stores of Apple and Google, following President Donald Trump’s decision to delay its ban until April 5.
Trump also assured tech companies that they would not face penalties for distributing or maintaining the Chinese-owned platform. The move comes as he pledged to reinstate TikTok’s access before his inauguration, allowing users to resume engagement on the popular short-video app.
